From the beginning (1993), Conan O'Brien made good use of jokes at Abe Vigoda's expense... eventually "setting him free" when the show moved to Los Angeles (to become "The Tonight Show"). Here's a compilation of some of the best (and only) appearances from the last two decades of Vigoda's life.
And it's not online at the moment, but Vigoda was also hilarious in a one-line cameo on SNL on 11/2/96, with host Chris Rock. That was in a sketch in which Dana Carvey (also a cameo) hilariously playing Charles Grodin.
