SNL bloopers

An interesting compilation of SNL bloopers... the ones from the first 10 seasons are all from the air show, because they did not tape dress rehearsal back then.  So many genius moments lost!

And here's a compilation of just Phil Hartman bloopers... if you don't remember that many, it's because these ARE from dress rehearsal:

Bill Murray's tribute to Harold Ramis

Bill Murray and Harold Ramis (who passed away two years ago today) collaborated on many films, including Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day.  They apparently had a falling out after that last film, but Murray still gave a nice shoutout to his friend at the 2014 Oscars...

The birth of Atari's "Pong"

OK, maybe not officially, but it's still a fascinating look at early video games, when they were all just dot-and-dash variations on tennis.  With Ralph Baer (who would go on to create the Magnavox Odyssey game system) and Bill Harrison.

Larry David orders coffee

The king of romance, Larry David, takes Cheryl out for coffee.  I first thought he was saying "what a DREAM," which makes me giggle.

Sexy Dr. Pepper SNL commercial break

Here's three light-hearted and humorous SNL commercials that tackle sexuality.  Kind of weird to compare the 2015 versions (Pepboys and Aron's List) with 1982 (Come On Out, America!).  The latter is more a spoof of the "I'm a Pepper" Dr. Pepper ads... which were also spoofed (though not sexually) in a sketch from 1980 (episode is here).

SNL: Bland Man

A perfect send-up of The Bachelor, whose inexplicable appeal baffles me.

Don Rickles, Jerry Seinfeld and David Steinberg... need anything else?

And here's Jerry hosting Don on "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

SNL: Teacher Trial

A new SNL classic... Pete Davidson as a student who slept with his attractive teacher.  They re-did this with host Ronda Rousey.  But she was not good.
